English bookstores in Paris

One of the things I’ve been looking forward to is going to English bookstores in Paris.  I had a little list that I compiled but other than Bretano’s and Shakespeare and Co everything has been closed when I got there.

Today I was wandering on rue St. Paul in the 4ieme and found The Red Wheelbarrow Bookstore.  Redwheelbarrow Penelope Le Masson runs it.  She’s a Canadian who’s been in France for 15 years.  Her husband Jobic is a jazz pianist.

There is also a children’s bookstore, good to know.  You can e-mail them at good.reading at wanadoo.fr – replace at with @ and delete the spaces.

There’s a list of English bookstores in Paris at Discovery France.
