I love cherry season.  Right now my goal is to show houses that have cherry trees and to get there early so I can sample while I wait for my clients.  Big, round, shiny, almost black cherries.  Warm from the sun.  That resist for a split second when you bite them. Heaven.

And in a couple of weeks it’ll be figs.  Glorious plump figs.  I have a favourite fig tree that no one else seems to know about.

It’s a beautiful day today, the sky is a clear deep blue, there are one or two tiny puffy white clouds, there’s a bit of a breeze, it’s about 25.  Days like this remind me why I live in the Aude.

One Response to Cherries

i have never had a cherry fresh from the tree, what a novel idea. although the warm from the sun doesn't sound appealing. i like my fruit cold, nice and cold.
