Cats and dogs

No, not rain.  It’s been a gorgeous weekend.  Yesterday was absolute perfection.  About 24 degrees, sunny, clear blue sky, no breeze, an autumn day defined.  I spent the evening with friends, sitting outside on their terrace.  I came home and sat outside looking at the stars.  Days like this remind me why I love it here.

I know, nothing at all to do with cats and dogs.  But the pictures are cats and dogs.

There are two kittens at the cafe in Montlaur.  Obviously Chantal, the owner, plays with them a lot.  The backs of her hands look like she’s been attacked by Zorro.

Today someone on their way to or from hunting had stopped at the cafe at lunchtime.  To drink something – there’s no food at the cafe but you can bring your own – or to talk to someone – it seems to be gossip central.  His dogs were in the back of his van.  They all matched.
