Homps – Restaurant les Tonneliers

I keep going back for the steak frites

The Restaurant les Tonneliers is my favourite restaurant in Homps.  Of course it’s the only restaurant I’ve actually been to in Homps. The formule express – 13.00 euros, is a salad, steak frites, and coffee or dessert and it’s the best steak I’ve had in France.  Perfect frites too, although they aren’t the traditional ‘allumettes’.

The website says they are open from February to November.  It’s already November 19th and they were still open today so maybe they close at the end of November.  Probably worth calling ahead in the off-season to make sure they’re open.

Friends and I went today after we went to the vide grenier in Laredorte.

Peter did well in the painting department

I’m betting Helen will be pleased to know that he passed on the framed tapestry of Marechal Foch.

I didn’t buy the antique pram as much as I love it

And Yvette didn’t buy this, Peter said it’s a still.  Still what? I wondered.

One Response to Homps – Restaurant les Tonneliers

I whole heartly agree on the comments about the Steak Frites, I'm the one holding the painting and Helen & I always go to homps for the formule express, the steak is always the best!!

Vide Greniers are great, this painting looks brilliant on our wall and even more so seeing it only cost 10 euros! If you haven't been to one yet what are you waiting for?
