And the French for timing belt is …

… courroie crantée

Finally!  The answer to the question I posed in November, 2004 – What’s the French for Timing Belt?

Thank you Craig McGinty. and This French Life. He posted about FreeLang, a site offering free dictionaries to download.  There are 26 specialist English/French dictionaries, including an Anglais mechanique automobile which is why I finally know that timing belt is courroie crantée in French.

Now that she’s in Canada she writes about things that can affect owners and buyers in the Aude – or anything that strikes her fancy.
