Definitely not the Aude – Grey County, Ontario

Armchair Travel to Southwestern Ontario

"So will it be cold when you’re in Canada?"  Yup.  On Thursday in Toronto it was -11 with a wind chill factor that made it feel a lot colder.  Still, it was sunny.  That helps.  And there’s no snow in the city yet.

Yesterday Meg and I went on a little road trip to Grey County

We were headed for Priceville, a hamlet about 2 1/2 hours north west of Toronto, between Flesherton and Durham.  Not far north of Toronto there’s snow on the ground, usual for this time of year.  It is winter.

The roads weren’t great, they’d been ploughed but then more snow had fallen so they were quite slippery.  The thing that always scares me in the winter is other drivers, the ones who don’t seem to have noticed the slippery road.  Winter driving, not my favourite.

It was beautiful.  I’d forgetten how lovely new snow in the country looks.  So soft.
