Corbieres Kids

Sounds like a TV show, doesn't it?

Approachingfence Nope, it's goats, baby goats.  Adorable little goats.  Across from the end of the drive to Domneuve there's a field of parasol pines and there's been a herd of goats grazing in it for about a week.

Today I stopped to try and take some pictures.  Of course as soon as I walked up to the fence they all moved away.  Three of the kids finally did approach the fence but not on the side where I was.

Nature vs nurture

It's so funny to see baby animals doing grown-up things and then looking a bit surprised at themselves.  I know, this is anthropomorphism on my part - good word though!

One little guy walked up to a small tree, reared up on his hind legs and sort of butted the tree.  Very goat like.

I'm sure they're not really butting the trees.  Probably scratching their heads or something.
