Art in Toulouse
After all these years I finally made it to the Fondation Bemberg in Toulouse this week. I’ll go again. I fully expected to like the French modern works, who couldn’t? The surprise was that I also loved the Renaissance works.
The Bonnard Room was wonderful – there are 12 Bonnard paintings at the Bemberg, I’ve never seen that many on one place before.
We went after lunch and there was no one else on the 2nd floor. We cheated and went to the second floor, first. There were a few other people on the first floor. I love galleries when no one else is there.
I think I’d like to have this chandelier – but in different colours.
Even if you aren’t a fan of art museums the Bemberg is worth a visit just to look out of the second floor windows.
Great place to be a guard –
