Ah the Aude – Lunch Outside on January 20th

Not your normal French winter weather

Yesterday I arrived in Toulouse at 4.30 pm and it was about 14 degrees.  Glorious, sunny, blue skies, balmy 14 degrees.  This is not normal January weather in the south of France but it was a great welcome back after a cold two months in Ontario.

Table

Today a friend came for lunch and we ate outside.  It must have been about 18 degrees in the sun.  We sat outside until 4.30.  If only winter was always like this!

Sounds lovely. I'm worried a bit about being able to handle the winters IF we move to France. BUT…right now you are warmer than we are here in Los Angeles. I'm sure it's not normal, but I like it!!!!

No, it's not normal. I wish. But normal isn't terrible, at least not here. I think that weather forecasts must predict shade temperatures because the highs are so often higher than predicted.

As long as the sun is shining you can almost always find somewhere sheltered and sit outside.
