2CV - deux chevaux

I love 2CVs

2cvfrside

The 2CV is iconically French, for me it's part of the essence of France.  2CVs, berets, baguettes, Gitanes, these are some of the things that remind me of my first visit to France, 47 years ago. (Wow! That's a long time ago!)  Add someone playing La Vie en Rose on an accordian and it's the complete old-fashioned romantic dream.  I guess I'm a complete old-fashioned romantic girl at heart.

Close your eyes, imagine that you're in a cafe in Paris.  Through the smoky haze you see the waiters in their black pants, white shirts, and long aprons carrying their round trays and strolling to the zinc bar, stopping to chat with each other on the way.  You hear the hiss of the espresso machine, the clink of the cups in the saucers, the hum of conversations.  You sip your cognac. Edith Piaf starts singing La Vie en Rose.  Life is good.
