St Claire Hotel in Toulouse

The St Claire is a very nice little hotel in Toulouse.

Hotel I've stayed in 5 different hotels in Toulouse over the past 6 years and the St Claire is far and away the nicest.  Not the most up-market but certainly the most welcoming.  I stayed there overnight last week on my way to Toronto.

The people working at reception were friendly, welcoming, and helpful.  I had to leave at 5 am and the man working in the afternoon booked a cab for me.  I was less than wide awake when I went downstairs in the morning.  The woman working helped me take my suitcases outside - no mean feat!  She asked if I wanted anything to drink, coffee or water.  I said orange juice would be lovely and she brought the glass of juice outside to me on the sidewalk.

The room was small, a single, but it was quite lovely.  A duvet on the bed instead of one of those ugly hotel quilted bedspreads, a desk with a plug and a lamp so I could work, and a bathroom with lots of light.  It was 68.00 euros for the night, not bad for Toulouse.

It's not far from the station and is about a 10 minute walk from Place Wilson.

Good choice if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Toulouse.
